FISHING TRIP!

Yes, Yes - I know - I'm horribly and terribly behind on the blog. Life just gets so busy. There are photos prior to these that I want to post, but thought with the few minutes I have right now, I'd get these posted. Chris and a buddy took the girls fishing this past weekend up at Banner Creek. It was cold, but they had success. (You wont' see Em in these as she did not go.) Who says girls
can't fish?!

Wow! Good job girls!

Claire's First "Girls' Weekend!"

Claire was so excited to be going on her first "Girls' Weekend!" She told me she'd been waiting "her whole life" to go! We went at the end of May and visited Cabela's, T-Rex Cafe, Build-a-Dino, and Worlds of Fun.

Claire in the car just waiting to leave the driveway!

Some of our furry friends at Cabela's.

Some friends of ours happened to be there and literally jumped into the picture.

Claire in the shooting gallery at Cabela's. Once I showed her how to line up her targets, she did fantastic!

Yes, we went from shooting to stuffing little pink dinosaurs!

Here is where Claire sat and pondered what to name her new pink friend.

And the name "Loving" wins out. Isn't that too sweet?!

Claire and Loving at our table at T-Rex cafe, waiting for our lunch.

Claire on the carousel at Worlds of Fun. Unfortunately, her mom gets sick on the rides that go around in circles . . . so she went by herself.

Claire's first go at driving a car. Whew! I'm glad there was a safety track!

Claire getting prepared for her rock climb. She loves doing this!

You go girl!

Another ride Claire had to brave alone. She had a good time on the Octopus!

Taking a break with a refreshing Icee drink.

Notice the people in the background flying through the picture on a bungee chord?

The "Prowler" . . . Mom's favorite ride of the day!

Absolutely soaked after standing on the bridge over the "Monsoon" ride. Claire was totally NOT expecting the incredible splash she received!

We took a train ride to rest a little and allow Miss Claire to dry off.

One view of the "Prowler" from the train.

After riding the "Prowler," Claire opted to NOT ride the Mamba. Apparently, our coaster-freak has her limits.

Dad's Birthday

Friday, June 5th, was Michelle's Dad's birthday. We celebrated at the lake with a nice picnic dinner, the girls played in the water, and Dad and Chris fished. Michelle enjoyed good conversation with her mom and two aunts. About Dad's shirt . . . um . . . all I know is Emili said when the sun was setting, "Papa! Your shirt glows in the dark!"

McKenna gave her papa a golfing santa figurine. Very cute! (Emili had given him a dollar earlier, telling him to go buy something for himself at the Dollar Tree or a pack of gum. Too funny.)

Papa with the card Claire crafted for him with construction paper and Wiki Stix (sp?).

Here's Papa going in for a kiss . . . I clicked at the wrong time.

Papa Al with his lovely and sweet granddaughters. He's also sporting his new WrapArounds.

Silly girls!

The girls had races with rubber balls down this little streams. If you look closely, you can see McKenna's yellow ball.

McKenna taking a hop across the stream in order to keep following her ball.

Probably talking about the "one that got away!"

Dad and Chris fishing into the night. The fishing wasn't good, but the conversation was.

Claire's Piano Recital

Claire had a busy month in May. A piano recital and a dance recital. Below are pictures of Claire at her piano recital. She did very well and we are so proud of her!

Waiting for her turn . . . a little nervously.

Claire's Dance Recital

Claire's dance recital was at the end of May. It was a long four (4) hours, but we survived! Claire had one tap routine (Emerald City) and one ballet routine (You'll be in my Heart). She loves the recitals and always stays for the curtain call. She thought her costumes were the prettiest she's ever had. If you can't tell where Claire is in some of the pictures, she's the one in the middle.

The end of the tap routine.

Lovin' every minute of it!

End of the ballet performance.

Oh my . . . how Claire LOVED the sparkly choker!
